A recent outbreak of food poisoning has prompted federal warningfor the preparation of processed meat.
About 40 school children became ill, some seriously, from abacteria known as Escherichia coli after eating hamburgers at ajunior high cafeteria in the Minneapolis area recently, according toNutrition Week. The particular brand of beef patties thoughtresponsible for the outbreak are sold as a fully cooked product andthen just reheated before serving.
