The move comes as Premier BOB CARR says the next commissioner will be an Australianwho will receive about half of the salary earned by Mr RYAN.
Mr RYAN quit on Wednesday after six years in the job.
But the opposition yesterday said it has received advice from a barrister which itclaims confirms the view Mr RYAN was sacked.
