QLD: Home made bomb explodes outside Brisbane Serb = 3

Brisbane's Serbian leader, Dr Srdjan Nesic (Srdjan Nesic), said he would ask to meet with
leaders of the Albanian community to resolve any tensions.

He called for the wider community to condemn the attack and also blasted police for saying
there was no motive for the bombing action.

"How can there be no motive, there is a war in Yugoslavia," he said.

"This can't be tolerated here.

"Today it's the Serbs, tomorrow it could be anyone.

"Why would it not happen to anyone else?

"The community feels deeply worried about it and we feel the pressure is mounting on us.

"We are calling for the rest of the community to lend a hand to help us overcome this
activity."

Serbian school children were the first victims of anti-Serb sentiment, which had grown to
include bizarre and threatening letters to the church accusing Serbs of being rapists and
murderers, he said.

"I have no clue where the letters or the bomb came from, we have no dispute with the
Albania community here," he said.

"Their relatives and our relatives are in a disaster zone."
